Daffodil - a bright yellow flower with a long trumpet shaped-centre symbolizes rebirth, new beginnings and the coming of spring. It is said that if a person spots the first Daffodil of the season than his next 12 months will be filled with wealth. Similarly a Chinese legend says that if a Daffodil bulb is forced to bloom during he new year, it will bring good luck to your home.
Daffodils are also called as 'narcissus' .It gains its name from the Greek god narcissus. According to legend, Narcissus was so enamoured with his own reflection in the river that he drowned trying to capture his reflection. The Daffodils growing along stream banks soon became associated with Narcissus and took on his name , probably due to the beauty of their reflected image in the water.so let us have a look on the Daffodil flower that blooms in my garden......
Materials Required
1}Duplex paper- Green, Yellow or White
2}Green tape
3}Wire
4}Fevicol
Tube: To make the tube of the flower cut the duplex paper according to the shape given below. Make two cuts of the given shape, and paste them together.
Petals: To make the petals cut the duplex paper in the shape given below .Give 10 cuts for the petals. Place the wire between the 5 petals and paste the remaining 5 on each of them.
Leaf: Cut the Green duplex paper according to the shape given below to make a leaf.
Pollens: Put yellow or any suitable pollens for the same
Centre: Take a 3 inch long wire and tie the tube around it with a thread. Give tiny curls to the tube. Place the other petals around the tube and put the Green tape for the stem.
